Yshtola (test) by Mbradshaw

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Esper midrange-control deck helmed by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed that grinds value by casting noncreature spells of mana value 3 or greater to ping the table, gain life, and fuel her end-step draw trigger whenever anyone loses 4+ life. The shell layers cost reduction (Lyse Hext, Mocking Sprite, Case of the Ransacked Lab, Uthros Psionicist, Alisaie Leveilleur), spell-copy and flash enablers (Storm of Saruman, Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Gandalf, Friend of the Shire, High Fae Trickster), and a dense pillowfort package (Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Crawlspace, Island Sanctuary) so the table cannot race while Y'shtola drains. A six-piece Equipment suite (Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Darksteel Plate, Champion's Helm, Whispersilk Cloak, Conqueror's Flail) turns the commander into a resilient Voltron threat for commander damage. Secondary finishers include Bolas's Citadel life-payment storms, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse drain, and Omniscience free-cast turns. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through attrition and protected combat.
