Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari combo-midrange build centered on Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Its strategy revolves around distributing -1/-1 counters to weaken opposing creatures while generating an army of 1/1 deathtouch Snake tokens. These tokens serve as defensive barriers, fodder for potent sacrifice engines, and the foundation for infinite loops. The primary win condition combines Hapatra with Blowfly Infestation and a blood artist effect like Zulaport Cutthroat or Obelisk Spider, creating an infinite death-and-drain sequence that immediately eliminates the table. Supported by heavy draw engines such as Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Skullclamp, the deck replenishes resources effortlessly. While it excels at controlling creature-based boards and executing sudden combo finishes, its lack of stack interaction and vulnerability to sweepers represent noticeable hurdles.
