Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos stompy and reanimator build led by Rakdos, Lord of Riots. The core strategy uses cheap burn spells, aggressive devils, and pingers to deal early damage to opponents. This damage satisfies Rakdos's casting requirement on turn 4. Once Rakdos connects in combat on turn 5, its passive ability drastically reduces the generic mana cost of creature spells by the life opponents lost that turn. This discount enables explosive turns where multiple high-impact demons, such as Lord of the Void, Demonlord Belzenlok, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater, enter the battlefield in a single main phase. Backup reanimation spells like Victimize and Blood for Bones allow the deck to cheat threats into play if the commander is removed. However, the deck runs no cheap mana rocks and limited protection spells. This leaves it dependent on natural land drops and vulnerable to well-timed spot removal or sweepers before it can close out the game.
