Deck overview

This deck is an Esper aggro-control strategy helmed by Alela, Artful Provocateur. It capitalizes on casting low-cost artifacts and enchantments to build a wide board of 1/1 evasive Faerie tokens with flying. Dense 2-CMC mana rocks accelerate the commander onto the battlefield on Turn 3, enabling immediate token production on Turn 4. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by stacking static anthems like Favorable Winds, Inspiring Leader, Flowering of the White Tree, and Cathars' Crusade, alongside token doublers like Anointed Procession and Mondrak, Glory Dominus. Card draw engines such as Tocasia's Welcome, Skullclamp, and Bident of Thassa maintain hand size as cheap permanents are deployed. A concise suite of 1-2 CMC removal and counterspells provides interaction, while Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Blind Obedience discourage opposing attacks until lethal evasive combat damage closes the game around Turn 8.
