Deck overview

Lathliss, Dragon Queen commands a high-impact Mono-Red Dragon tribal stompy deck designed to overpower opponents through explosive airborne board states and direct burn triggers. The primary strategy focuses on deploying low-cost mana rocks and tribal cost-reducers such as Dragonspeaker Shaman and Urza's Incubator during the opening turns. This acceleration enables an early casting of Lathliss, Dragon Queen by Turn 5. Once established, every subsequent non-token Dragon cast spawns a 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly creating an overwhelming aerial army. Synergy pieces like Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Scourge of Valkas convert creature deployment into massive direct damage, clearing opposing blockers and burning opponents directly. Extra combat spells such as Aggravated Assault and Relentless Assault, alongside lethal token doublers like Utvara Hellkite and Kindred Charge, reliably close out games by Turn 7. While vulnerable to mass sweepers and targeted removal, the deck maintains immense threat density and redundant standalone finishers.
