Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dimir tempo build centered on Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. It leverages low-cost, unblockable creatures on Turn 1 to deploy Yuriko via commander ninjutsu on Turn 2, circumventing the commander tax and ordinary counterspells. The deck's primary victory route revolves around manipulating the top of the library with cards like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, Scroll Rack, and Sensei's Divining Top to reveal disproportionately high mana value cards such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass on Yuriko damage triggers. This deals devastating, symmetric life loss to all opponents simultaneously while restocking the pilot's hand. Backed by a dense package of free and hyper-efficient counterspells and removal, the deck protects its engine and disrupts fast combo attempts, reliably closing out multiplayer games by Turn 6 through relentless combat-triggered life drain.
