Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Chatterfang is a Golgari token-army deck that wins by multiplying every Squirrel token created and crashing through with trample anthems. The commander is a replacement effect and removal outlet, not the core engine; the hidden engine is the Earthcraft + Squirrel Nest combo, with The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl acting as an exponential second engine. Secondary paths build a wide board with Deep Forest Hermit, Deranged Hermit, Drey Keeper, and Scurry Oak, then finish with Overrun, Chronicle of Victory, or Garruk's emblem. The deck is a mid-speed synergy deck that can goldfish around turn 7, but has almost no stack interaction, very few answers, and depends on a critical mass of tokens to close out three opponents.
