Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary, operating as a Sultai big-mana midrange strategy centered on casting high-impact X-spells. The engine leverages early land ramp and mana dorks to deploy Zaxara ahead of curve on turn 3, immediately unlocking two additional mana and a trigger that generates an X/X Hydra token whenever any X-spell is cast. The deck converts this mana velocity into compounding board presence using counter doublers such as Unbound Flourishing, Corpsejack Menace, and Doubling Season, alongside unblockable evasion from Herald of Secret Streams. While capable of an infinite mana kill via Pemmin's Aura, the lack of tutors means ordinary games play out via crushing combat pressure and mass life-drain finishers like Torment of Hailfire. Its main vulnerabilities are lack of board-wipe recovery and low stack protection.
