Deck overview

This deck uses Kibo, Uktabi Prince to pilot an aggressive Gruul artifact-punishing strategy that turns symmetrical resource gifts into lethal combat pressure. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with low-cost dorks and rocks to deploy Kibo by Turn 2 or 3. Once active, Kibo hands out Banana tokens to every player. Rather than allowing opponents to freely enjoy this mana, the deck quickly follows up with asymmetric artifact sweepers like Meltdown, Vandalblast, and By Force, or continuous taxes like Manglehorn and Bloodroot Apothecary. Each destroyed artifact places +1/+1 counters across Kibo and allied Apes or Changelings, amplified by effects like Hardened Scales and Roaming Throne. With support from Viridian Revel for card draw and Kodama of the West Tree for trample, Kibo rapidly grows into a massive lethal threat capable of eliminating opponents through commander damage by Turn 6. Cheap protection spells like Deflecting Swat and Heroic Intervention keep the engine safe from opposing removal.
