Deck overview

Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain leads an Esper Equipment deck that converts one equipped attacker into a growing package of copied Equipment. The deck's strongest starts use Sol Ring, Ancient Tomb, a Talisman, or Stoneforge Mystic to deploy Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain around turn 5 and attack on turn 6. Nettlecyst, Quietus Spike, Buster Sword, and the Sword cycle give the attacks meaningful damage, while Helm of the Host and Mondrak, Glory Dominus can increase the number of tokens. The plan is powerful when it survives, but it is not a compact combo. Equipment copies remain attached to the original attacker, and Helm of the Host tokens do not inherit those copies. The deck has respectable tutors, card engines, interaction, and protection, but its finish depends on repeated combat steps. It is best understood as a midgame value-combat deck rather than a cEDH strategy or a reliable fast combo deck.
