Deck overview

This deck is a 5-color 'Typal Soup' midrange build led by Morophon, the Boundless. The core strategy exploits the Changeling mechanic—where creatures possess every creature type simultaneously—to bridge powerful tribal lords and payoffs from diverse tribes such as Slivers, Knights, Cats, Allies, and party members. Early turns focus on establishing mana through creatures like Gemhide Sliver and Harabaz Druid while developing cheap changeling bodies like Universal Automaton and Bloodline Pretender. By Turn 5, the deck deploys card engines like Kindred Discovery or Risen Reef, transitioning into a critical combat onset by Turn 6 using overwhelming multipliers such as Coat of Arms, Mirror Entity, or Kindred Summons. Asymmetric sweepers like Raise the Palisade and Kindred Dominance break board stalls to clear paths for lethal attacks. While vulnerable to heavy board wipes and color-fixing friction from tapped lands, the deck maintains high redundancy and functions smoothly even without casting its commander.
