Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-black combo and reanimator strategy commanded by Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose. The primary game plan centers on assembling an infinite life-drain loop by pairing Vito with Exquisite Blood or its creature counterpart, Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Black mana acceleration like Dark Ritual, Mana Vault, and Lake of the Dead enables the deck to cast these pieces ahead of curve, while universal tutors and graveyard enablers like Entomb and Reanimate provide redundancy. When the combo is not immediately accessible, the deck pivots into an oppressive midrange reanimator plan, cheating large threats like Archon of Cruelty, Kokusho, the Evening Star, and Archfiend of Despair into play. Interaction is supported by efficient removal spells including Deadly Rollick, Withering Torment, and Force of Despair. The deck executes a compact same-turn kill on Turn 4 under ordinary sequencing.
