Deck overview

Zedruu the Greathearted is a donation-control deck that turns unwanted permanents into card advantage and life while strangling opponents. The primary plan is to give away Grid Monitor, Steel Golem, Rust Elemental, Pendant of Prosperity, and other symmetrical or negative permanents, then use the resulting upkeep draws to assemble a donate-and-pop kill: Illusions of Grandeur or Nine Lives placed under an opponent and removed by Patrician's Scorn or Fractured Identity. Triskaidekaphile is the hidden finisher, winning at exactly thirteen cards. Exchange effects such as Puca's Mischief and Perplexing Chimera provide theft, disruption, and additional paths to pass control of lethal enchantments. The deck is resilient because multiple independent enchantment lines can each end the game once enough mana and donation outlets appear.
