Deck overview

This deck leverages the partner pairing of Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart to establish an escalating midrange board state centered on +1/+1 counters and token generation. Michelangelo attacks early to generate Food tokens and buff creatures, which triggers Leonardo to distribute counters across the entire team. Scaling engines like Hardened Scales, Corpsejack Menace, and Innkeeper's Talent rapidly multiply this power. Once the board is established, the deck pivots into decisive combat damage using Leonardo's 5-color activated ability for evasion and lifelink, or resolving finishers such as Overwhelming Stampede and Raphael, the Muscle. Efficient targeted protection spells and asymmetric sweepers like Damning Verdict shield your board while punishing wider creature strategies, closing out the table around Turn 8.
