Deck overview

Captain America, Team Leader pilots a Jeskai Hero-tribal deck built around +1/+1 counters and "modified" triggers. The plan is to land Captain America on turn three, then chain Heroes into play: every Hero cast afterward enters with haste and vigilance, puts a counter on itself and on Captain America, and immediately attacks. Director Nick Fury, Jarvis, Earth's Mightiest Butler, and Avengers Tower keep Hero cards flowing, while Arana, Heart of the Spider, SP//dr, Piloted by Peni, and Iron Man, Armored Avenger convert attacks into card advantage and more counters. The deck has no infinite combo; it wins through combat inevitability, with Odric, Lunarch Marshal, Captain Marvel, Apex Avenger, Herald of Secret Streams, and an Akroma's Will alpha strike turning a wide board of hasty, largely unblockable Heroes into lethal damage. A dense protection and interaction suite, including Teferi's Protection, Fierce Guardianship, Flawless Maneuver, and Final Showdown, keeps the board alive through board wipes.
