Mikaeus by olitologie

Format: Commander

Commander: Mikaeus, the Unhallowed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-black Zombie/aristocrat midrange deck built around Mikaeus, the Unhallowed, who turns every non-Human creature into a recursive undying engine while pumping the whole board. The plan is to grind value through death triggers - Undead Augur, Dark Prophecy, Midnight Reaper - then close with devotion drains from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, token floods from Grave Titan and Abhorrent Overlord, or the deck's one infinite loop: Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + Cauldron of Souls + a sacrifice outlet, producing infinite deaths, mill, or mana. A dense tutor package (Demonic Tutor, Diabolic Intent, Sidisi, Undead Vizier) and heavy black acceleration (Crypt Ghast, Cabal Coffers, Black Market) assemble the combo quickly, while mass reanimation (Rise of the Dark Realms, Sheoldred, Whispering One, Victimize) acts as the fallback plan.
