Deck overview

Olag and Miau, New Friends commands an Abzan dual-tribal deck that merges Cat and Zombie synergies into an aggressive token swarm and life-drain engine. The strategy relies on casting low-cost ramp to deploy Olag on turn 3, followed by repeatable token generators on turn 4. Each Zombie entering buffs a Cat, each Cat entering buffs a Zombie, and tapped creatures trigger Olag's end-step ability to drain all opponents simultaneously. The deck reaches critical onset on turn 5 by swinging with an expanding army and stacking end-step drain triggers alongside multipliers like Anointed Procession and Throne of the God-Pharaoh. While vulnerable to mass sweepers due to its reliance on maintaining a wide creature board over multiple turn cycles, redundant token makers and high-impact aristocrat payoffs allow it to finish the table reliably by turn 7.
