Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie Aristocrats build that leverages tribal synergies, sacrifice outlets, and death triggers to control the board and drain opponents. The deck uses low-cost Zombies and recursion engines like Gravecrawler, Gisa and Geralf, and Phyrexian Reclamation to feed sacrifice outlets such as Carrion Feeder and Viscera Seer. These loops trigger drain effects from Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Diregraf Captain, and Vengeful Dead. Meanwhile, Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and Attrition keep opposing creature boards clear. The commander, Sephiroth, Planet's Heir, serves as an asymmetric board shrink on entry and grows into a massive threat as opposing creatures die. Backed by efficient Dimir countermagic and targeted removal, the deck grinds down opposing life totals through attrition, combat damage, and burst drain payoffs.
