Deck overview

This Jeskai deck helmed by Gandalf, Party Guest is a Dwarf tribal value engine built around the Lord of the Rings "Storied" mechanic - controlling three or more artifacts, legendaries, and/or Sagas unlocks an "enduring story" that powers up a host of Dwarves. The primary path to victory is a wide, anthem-buffed Dwarf board (The Arkenstone, An Unexpected Party, Fili the Pathfinder) closing games through combat, with Balin, Loremaster providing a burst finisher that drains each opponent. Gandalf's beginning-of-combat trigger free-casts instants and sorceries, and Wizard's Staff doubles that trigger for extra value. A ten-piece equipment subtheme (Glamdring, Foe-hammer, Sting, Bilbo's Sword, Sword of Vengeance) gives the deck a resilient voltron channel that rebuilds through creature wipes.
