Deck overview

This Selesnya deck centers on Okoye, Mighty and Adored to pilot a combat-focused strategy combining Hero tribal synergies, +1/+1 counters, and the monarch mechanic. The deck spends its opening turns ramping and deploying resilient Hero creatures before casting Okoye on turn 4 to seize the crown and start distributing counters. In the midgame, engines such as Court of Garenbrig, Felidar Retreat, and Avengers Assemble! turn go-wide boards into trampling, double-striking threats that close the game over multiple combat steps. The deck relies on efficient spot exile like Swords to Plowshares alongside defensive spells like Heroic Intervention and Jennifer Walters // The Sensational She-Hulk to protect its board. Because it wins strictly through combat damage without infinite combos, it requires multiple turn cycles to close out a four-player pod and remains vulnerable to repeated board sweepers.
