Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger combo build commanded by Niv-Mizzet, Parun. Its primary strategy is accelerating mana and fixing colors in the early turns, establishing spell-velocity engines, and assembling a game-ending two-card combo with Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Once Niv-Mizzet is enchanted or paired, any card draw triggers a continuous loop of direct damage and draws that eliminates all three opponents in a single turn without passing priority. Backed by a dense package of low-cost cantrips, cost reducers, and efficient countermagic, the deck can reliably protect its combo attempt while maintaining high card advantage. If the primary combo is disrupted or the commander is removed, the deck easily pivots to an alternate burn and token swarm plan using Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Young Pyromancer.
