Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elfball deck with a combo-forward chassis. Lathril, Blade of the Elves provides the nominal tribal shell-her menace attacks generate Elf tokens and her activated ability turns ten untapped Elves into a life-swing-but the deck's real finishing speed comes from compact combos living entirely in the 99. It floods the board with one-mana Elf mana dorks and three-drop land ramp, then either finds a two-card kill or generates infinite mana through its interchangeable Elf druids. The primary wins are Witherbloom Apprentice plus Chain of Smog, and the five Elf mana dorks pairing with Umbral Mantle or Staff of Domination into Exsanguinate or Torment of Hailfire. Lathril is a value/token engine and a beatdown backup, but she is not the combo engine.
