Deck overview

This mono-red list is an aggressive tribal stompy deck commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. It leverages an explosive ramp package featuring artifact mana, rituals, and tribal cost-reducers like Urza's Incubator and Dragonspeaker Shaman to deploy Lathliss ahead of curve on Turn 4. Once assembled, casting any nontoken Dragon triggers Lathliss to create a 5/5 flying Dragon token, creating rapid board presence. Damage multipliers and haste engines such as Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, and Scourge of Valkas convert creature deployments into immediate burns and evasive combat steps, threatening lethal table damage by Turn 7. While the deck boasts high redundancy in its threats and robust mana velocity, it relies heavily on permanent-based board presence and combat damage. Its primary vulnerabilities are sweeping creature removal and limited instant-speed stack interaction, requiring decisive timing to overwhelm opponents before they stabilize.
