Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an artifact-centric Voltron and battlecruiser strategy led by Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man. In the opening turns, Tony Stark digs through the top of the library to find key artifacts while standard mana rocks build resource velocity. Once the mana base reaches six mana on Turn 5, Tony transforms at sorcery speed into The Invincible Iron Man. At the beginning of combat, his ability cheats high-cost Equipment or massive artifact creatures directly onto the battlefield, automatically attaching equipment to himself. He attacks immediately with flying and haste, applying heavy commander damage pressure. The deck closes games through sustained combat steps, leveraging heavy hitters like Blackblade Reforged, Grappling Hook, and Steel Hellkite. Because the list runs zero instant-speed spells, it relies on high-impact permanent ETB abilities for removal and defensive equipment for protection.
