Deck overview

This deck is a focused Poison and Proliferate midrange strategy commanded by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. The primary game plan seeks to distribute initial poison counters to each opponent during the early turns using efficient toxic and infect creatures or direct spells like Prologue to Phyresis. Once poison is seeded, casting Atraxa on Turn 4 establishes a steady proliferation engine that ticks up counters across all opponents simultaneously on each of your end steps. Support pieces like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Evolution Sage, and Bloated Contaminator accelerate this progression, turning a few early combat connections into a lethal table-wide clock. The deck backs up this strategy with high-quality interaction, including Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, Swords to Plowshares, and Cyclonic Rift, while using defensive staples like Toxic Deluge to keep opposing boards in check. The deck closes games around Turn 8 by reaching ten poison counters across all opponents.
