Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger and burn strategy built around Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph. The primary game plan converts small one-damage triggers into lethal bursts of three damage each using Ghyrson's Three Autostubs ability. Low-cost pingers like Kessig Flamebreather and Firebrand Archer combine with cheap spells like End the Festivities, Flick a Coin, and Playful Shove to clear opposing boards of utility creatures while simultaneously burning down life totals across the table. Defensive tools like Propaganda, Fog Bank, and Mithril Coat protect your life total and commander while you assemble your engine. As the game progresses into the mid-to-late turns, high-impact finishers like Niv-Mizzet, Parun, Chandra, Awakened Inferno, and Crackle with Power close out remaining opponents. While the deck lacks fast combo lines and tutors, it generates high incremental damage through tight synergy, asymmetric board sweeps, and steady spell velocity.
