Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Gruul "voltron-spellslinger" hybrid built entirely around The Howling Abomination's targeted-spell trigger. The plan is to resolve the hasted commander, then chain one-mana pump spells and combat tricks at it: every targeting grants +2/+2, pings each opponent for 2, and counts toward the three-spells-per-turn trample condition. A supporting pinger package - Guttersnipe, Kessig Flamebreather, Sawblade Scamp, Thermo-Alchemist - turns every noncreature spell into tablewide reach, while Solphim, Mayhem Dominus doubles all of that noncombat damage. The primary kill is one oversized commander swing, ideally with Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar forcing that damage onto all three opponents. Rubblebelt Rioters, Tuya Bearclaw, and myriad Elturel Survivors provide secondary combat threats. There are no infinite combos; victory comes from a critical mass of spells and burn over the mid turns.
