golgari death queen by katiethewizard

Format: Commander

Commander: Savra, Queen of the Golgari

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Savra, Queen of the Golgari is the face of a Golgari aristocrats deck that turns sacrifice triggers into forced sacrifices, life drain, and card advantage. Meren of Clan Nel Toth acts as a secondary engine, while token generation and recursion keep the sacrifice economy running. The deck's fastest finish is an accidental infinite line: Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest plus Scurry Oak plus Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar produces unlimited Squirrels and death triggers. The backup plan is attrition through Savra, Poison-Tip Archer, Cauldron of Essence, and a steady stream of dorks and tokens. The manabase is smooth and the tutors can assemble the combo, but the deck remains vulnerable to instant-speed interaction and graveyard hate.
