Deck overview

This deck is a Temur spellslinger strategy helmed by Iroh, Grand Lotus, designed to exploit the synergy between Lesson spells and Earthbending mechanics. Iroh functions as a powerful graveyard recursion engine by granting all Lessons in your graveyard flashback for just {1}, while also allowing non-Lesson instants and sorceries to be recast for their normal costs. Early turns focus on land ramp and stocking the graveyard with utility Lessons. Once Iroh is deployed alongside payoffs like Toph, Hardheaded Teacher, Burning Vengeance, or Archmage Emeritus, the deck chains cheap spells out of the graveyard to generate massive, trampling animated lands and burn triggers. A robust package of instant-speed protection and counterspells defends Iroh against opposing removal, letting the deck overwhelm opponents across consecutive combat phases.
