Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos cheat-and-attrition strategy helmed by Kethek, Crucible Goliath. The entire creature suite is engineered to exploit Kethek's end-step polymorph ability. By running only legendary creatures at low mana values and heavily discounted 7-drops (such as Dargo, the Shipwrecker, Gurmag Angler, and affinity creatures), every sacrificed 7-drop deterministically hits a game-warping 5- or 6-CMC nonlegendary bomb from the library. On Turn 4, Kethek deploys devastating stax and attrition pieces like Sire of Insanity, Archfiend of Depravity, or Massacre Wurm, stripping opponents of resources while breaking parity through free library-to-battlefield triggers. Supported by explosive fast mana, graveyard reanimation, and copy engines like Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink and Feldon of the Third Path, the deck converts early resource denial into decisive combat damage across Turns 5 through 7.
