B3 - Emotional Damage by Witchyneko

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls commands a group slug strategy designed to punish opponents for standard game actions like drawing cards, tapping lands, and casting spells. The primary plan establishes persistent damage sources, such as Underworld Dreams, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Mogis, God of Slaughter. These ping effects reliably trigger Valgavoth on every opponent turn, growing the commander into a massive flying threat while drawing up to three extra cards per rotation. The deck closes games through lethal commander damage, amplified burn from All Will Be One and Fiendish Duo, or an infinite drain loop with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Bloodthirsty Conqueror.
