Format: Commander

Commander: Eluge, the Shoreless Sea

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Eluge is an all-in mono-blue value-control commander: the deck floods its own lands to make the first instant or sorcery each turn nearly free, then uses that discount to chain card draw, bounce, and counterspells. Since most payoffs are also draw/token engines, the deck converts spells into flying drakes, sharks, krakens, and squid, eventually overrunning the table or taking a 21-damage commander swing from an unblockable Eluge. There is no hidden commander; Eluge's flood counters are the engine. The deck is strongest when it lands Eluge early, floods two or three Islands, and uses High Tide to manufacture a huge draw step.
