Deck overview

Tawnos, Urza's Apprentice is an ability-copying engine at the center of an artifact-value deck. The primary plan is to develop a critical mass of artifact tokens and draw triggers-Sai, Saheeli, Panharmonicon, Mirrorworks, and Mystic Forge-then copy key enter/attack abilities with Tawnos to create a large board. The deck also has strong recursion (Daretti, Emry, Academy Ruins) and a secondary plan to cheat out expensive artifacts with Madcap Experiment. There is no hidden commander or infinite combo; wins come from combat with token swarms and big artifact creatures like Myr Battlesphere, Cybermen Squadron, and Threefold Thunderhulk. Tawnos can be cast early with haste but is not essential to every draw, making the deck moderately dependent on him.
