Format: Commander

Commander: Kratos, God of War

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kratos, God of War leads a mono-red aggressive deck that punishes opponents for not attacking while rewarding the pilot for attacking with multiple creatures. Both faces of the commander share the same card, but one face is a creature with double strike and a goading/punishing trigger, while the other face is a vehicle-adjacent artifact. The deck is built around the creature face, using many hasty attackers, goad effects, and extra combat phases to multiply damage triggers. It generates treasures from combat damage to ramp into heavy equipment or additional combat spells, then closes with commander damage amplified by damage doublers. The deck can also win through repeated combat steps from cards like Combat Celebrant and Bloodthirster, and has a backup alt-win in Knuckles the Echidna's thirty-artifact threshold.
