Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos "damage to Smaug" deck built entirely around the commander's Treasure-generating trigger. Smaug the Impenetrable is an 8/7 flying, indestructible, haste Dragon that creates a Treasure for each point of noncombat damage dealt to it. The plan is to cast Smaug, then point burn spells like Chandra's Ignition and Soul's Fire at him - turning removal into a massive Treasure hoard while burning every opponent. Those Treasures then fuel Rain of Riches cascade, Alchemist's Talent's level-3 burn, and Tor Wauki the Younger pings. Secondary lines include damage-reflection infinite loops (Arcbond + Brash Taunter/Stuffy Doll), Fiery Emancipation-tripled burn, and Dawnsire, Sunstar Dreadnought as a 100-damage finisher.
