Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Rakdos Group Slug engine commanded by Mogis, God of Slaughter. It aims to suffocate opponents by turning every fundamental game action—playing lands, tapping for mana, drawing cards, and searching libraries—into painful life loss. An indestructible commander guarantees steady attrition while pieces like Zo-Zu the Punisher, Ankh of Mishra, and Manabarbs steadily deplete life totals. Damage multipliers such as Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, and Wound Reflection accelerate the clock exponentially. Disruptive stax pieces like Price of Glory and Stranglehold prevent opponents from interacting safely on your turn or searching for answers. To decisively close games, the deck pairs its pervasive burn with the lethal two-card combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank, which can instantly mill and drain the entire table from a single instance of damage.
