Prismari by Lorq

Format: Commander

Commander: Rootha, Mastering the Moment

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Izzet spellslinger deck helmed by Rootha, Mastering the Moment, whose trigger turns each turn's most expensive instant or sorcery into an X/X flying, hasty Elemental - a clock that scales with the deck's biggest spells. The strategy layers spell-matters payoffs: magecraft engines (Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, Veyran, Voice of Duality), table-wide pings (Gutersnipe, Niv-Mizzeet, Visionary), and token swarms (O vika, Enigma Golath, Prismari Pianist, Manaform Hellkite, Rionya, Fire Dancer). Wins come from chained storm/value turns - Improvisation Capstone, Creative Technique, Surge to Victory, or a Prismari, the Inspiration storm turn - plus a graveyard engine around Underworld Breach that turns escape castings into mana, cards, and damage. Secondary paths include a kicked Rite of Replication on a payoff or milling via Exhibiton Tidecaller. Expect an exploive, draw-dependent mid-speed deck with no tutor backbone.
