Deck overview

This is a Golgari life-gain-matters token deck helmed by Blech, Loafing Pest, who turns every point of life gained into +1/+1 counters across a broad typal net that includes Insects, Pests, Bats, Snakes, and Spiders. The deck's engine is built on repetitive life gain from token death triggers, attacker-triggers, and permanents like South Wind Avatar and Enduring Tenacity, which convert life gain into table-wide drain. The primary win path is an overwhelming combat swing: massive counter-boosted creatures plus finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Triumph of the Hordes. Secondary paths include Exsanguinate as a mana-sink drain, and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest-style sacrifice loops that compound counters and life. The deck is midrange-focused, generating value through token production, death triggers, and incremental life - then converting that accumulated life total into a single explosive turn.
