Deck overview

Vivi Ornitier helms a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger and storm deck centered on turning dense low-cost noncreature spells into lethal burn and explosive mana generation. Vivi's passive ability puts a +1/+1 counter on itself and deals 1 damage to each opponent whenever a noncreature spell is cast, while its activated ability converts its power directly into a burst of blue and red mana once per turn. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana rocks, cost reducers like Stormcatch Mentor, and premium cantrips like Ponder and Preordain. By Turn 4, Vivi deploys and establishes an active spell engine. On Turn 5, the deck triggers a decisive storm turn fueled by card draw engines like Archmage Emeritus, burst mana from Jeska's Will, or the Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal infinite loop. A dense suite of countermagic and redirect effects safeguards the win attempt, incinerating all three opponents in a single explosive turn.
