Deck overview

This deck combines a relentless Advisor mill swarm with the asymmetric tax of Grand Arbiter Augustin IV. Running thirty copies of Persistent Petitioners guarantees consistent creature deployment on every turn. Augustin reduces the cost of Petitioners to a single blue mana while forcing opponents to pay more for all their spells. Because Augustin is an Advisor, he counts toward the tap-four mill ability alongside the Petitioners. The deck establishes four Advisors by Turn 4 and reaches a critical mass of mill by Turn 6. An eighteen-card counterspell suite protects the board while disrupting opposing strategies. Finishers like Thrumming Stone ripple through the library to deploy dozens of Petitioners at once, while Bruvac the Grandiloquent doubles all mill output. While vulnerable to uncounterable sweepers and graveyard strategies, the deck consistently grinds opposing libraries to dust under heavy taxing pressure.
