Monarch by user9547583

Format: Commander

Commander: Garland, Royal Kidnapper

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Dimir theft deck uses Garland, Royal Kidnapper to become the monarch, then capitalizes on the monarch trigger to steal opponents' creatures permanently. A suite of goading auras and spells (Parasitic Impetus, Ghoulish Impetus) forces opponents to attack, giving you more opportunity to steal. Secondarily, graveyard recursion and removal theft (Hostage Taker, Extract from Darkness) build a resilient board. The commander's bonus gives your stolen creatures reach and protection. The deck aims to win through combat damage with an overwhelming creature count.
