Deck overview

This deck utilizes Vraska, the Silencer as a value-generating control commander in Golgari colors. The core game plan focuses on controlling opposing creature development through a dense suite of spot removal spells and edicts, such as Bitter Triumph, Putrefy, and Fleshbag Marauder. Whenever an opposing nontoken creature dies, Vraska pays {1} to convert that creature into a Treasure artifact under your control, netting mana advantage and denying graveyard recursion. Later in the game, the accumulated mana fuels high-impact finishers like Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Gigantic Big Bear, and Ulamog's Crusher. While exceptionally effective at removing problem creatures on the board, the deck lacks stack interaction, evasion, and infinite combo lines, requiring multiple combat cycles to grind out a victory.
