Battle of Whtz by user8399629

Format: Commander

Commander: Whtz, the Bibliophile

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This 300-card Azorius deck is built around Battle of Wits as its hidden commander. Whtz, the Bibliophile gives a free draw-and-gain-life activation because the starting deck is over 200 cards, and the same oversized library keeps Battle of Wits live. The primary plan is to dig with Whtz and a dense draw/tutor package, find Battle of Wits, protect it through one turn cycle, and win on the next upkeep. Secondary wins include Aetherflux Reservoir from accumulated life gain, Triskaidekaphile or Twenty-Toed Toad hand-size kills, and Laboratory Maniac/Jace self-mill. Pillow-fort enchantments and counterspells stall the table while assembling, while Academy Rector and Enduring Ideal provide alternate ways to put Battle into play.
