Deck overview

Helmed by Bre of Clan Stoutarm, this is a Boros Giants-and-lifegain value deck. The central engine is Bre's end-step trigger: any life gained during the turn exiles a nonland card, and if that card's mana value is low enough it is cast for free - otherwise it simply goes to hand. Early lifegain creatures like Soul Warden, Suture Priest, Dazzling Angel, and Healer's Hawk plus spells like Lightning Helix and Revitalize feed that engine. The payoff is a board of Giants: Calamity Bearer and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight double damage, Sunrise Sovereign and Boldwyr Aggressor turn the team into an alpha strike, and Brion Stoutarm/Surtland Flinger add direct-damage reach. Storm Herd and Ajani, Strength of the Pride convert a large life total into a finish. There are no infinite combos; this deck wins through incremental card advantage, large life totals, and big combat steps.
