Deck overview

This deck is a Boros aggressive combat deck led by Sephiroth, Fallen Hero. The primary strategy focuses on deploying self-modifying permanents—specifically equipment with Living Weapon, For Mirrodin!, and Job Select mechanics—during the opening turns. These cards create creature tokens that enter the battlefield already modified. When Sephiroth enters and attacks, his Jenova Cells ability raises the base power and toughness of every modified creature you control to 7/5 until end of turn. This suddenly turns modest 1/1 and 2/2 utility tokens into an overwhelming army of high-power attackers. Card advantage engines such as Araña, Heart of the Spider, Kíli the Resourceful, and Sram, Senior Edificer maintain hand size through combat and spell casting. The deck features built-in resilience via Sephiroth's Reunion ability, allowing him to return directly from the graveyard by sacrificing a modified creature, alongside dedicated protection spells to push through combat damage.
