Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Baron Helmut Zemo, leveraging a mono-black graveyard strategy centered on high-density black mana costs. The early game focuses on establishing mana acceleration and rapidly loading the graveyard using self-mill cards like Stitcher's Supplier, Ripples of Undeath, and dredge engines like Stinkweed Imp. As black spells are cast from hand, Zemo connives to sculpt card selection and bin expensive threats. Once the graveyard reaches 15 or more black mana symbols among its cards, Zemo attacks on turn 5 to activate boast, copying and casting up to three massive spells for free. Devastating payoffs like Army of the Damned, Archon of Cruelty, Doomsday Excruciator, and Pox Plague overwhelm the board, while devotion payoffs such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Ayara, First of Locthwain quickly drain opponents to zero life.
