Deck overview

This deck is a five-color midrange control list commanded by Jared Carthalion. The strategy aims to control the pace of the game using broad removal spells, pillowfort pieces like Authority of the Consuls, and steady card draw from engines like Howling Mine and Dictate of Kruphix. The primary path to victory involves deploying Jared Carthalion to generate five-color 3/3 Kavu tokens, which are quickly grown into massive 8/8 trampling attackers using his -3 loyalty ability. High-impact support permanents such as Brokers Ascendancy and True Conviction compound the deck's board presence, while standalone planeswalkers like Nicol Bolas, God-Pharaoh provide alternative pressure. Because the mana base is largely composed of basic lands with limited low-cost fixing, sequencing lands accurately in the early turns is critical. The deck ultimately closes out games through overwhelming combat damage over multiple sustained turn cycles once the board is stabilized.
