Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan lands-matter engine led by The Necrobloom, turning land drops and graveyard recursion into overwhelming creature swarms. The strategy curves out with low-cost mana dorks and land tutors into The Necrobloom on Turn 4. From there, it leverages the commander's ability to turn land cards into Dredge 2 enablers, filling the graveyard while securing land drops every turn. Once seven differently named lands are reached, every land drop creates a 2/2 Zombie instead of a 0/1 Plant token. Explosive mass land recursion from Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, Aftermath Analyst, and Ancient Greenwarden floods the board with dozens of power across multiple tokens on Turn 5. The deck protects its strategy with efficient targeted removal and stax pieces like Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines, closing out games around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat pressure, Felidar Retreat counters, or a game-ending Craterhoof Behemoth.
