Deck overview

This deck is a aggressive Gruul Voltron and +1/+1 counters deck commanded by Wolverine, Best There Is. The game plan revolves around leveraging Wolverine's built-in damage doubling to eliminate opponents with 21 commander damage in single attacks. Early turns focus on ramping out Wolverine by turn 3 and enhancing him with equipment like Mjölnir, Hammer of Thor or +1/+1 counter doublers like Branching Evolution and The Earth Crystal. Fight and bite spells such as Ram Through and Bushwhack trigger Wolverine's counter growth while clearing blockers. Dense instant-speed protection like Legolas's Quick Reflexes and Heroic Intervention shields the commander from interaction, while cards like Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar let Wolverine damage the entire table at once.
