Test Hakbal by UrzaRuinerOfFun

Format: Commander

Commander: Hakbal of the Surging Soul

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Hakbal of the Surging Soul leads a tempo-merfolk deck that turns every combat into card advantage and board growth. The primary plan is to deploy cheap Merfolk, trigger Hakbal's explore at combat, and convert the resulting +1/+1 counters and land drops into an unblockable or trampling swarm. Secondary paths include a compact Dramatic Reversal + Isochron Scepter infinite-mana engine with Finale of Devastation as the outlet, and a Natural Order or Green Sun's Zenith line into Craterhoof Behemoth. The commander is the main draw engine and mana acceleration, but the deck can still win through tribal synergies and combo if Hakbal is answered.
